30 Hudson Yards (also the North Tower) is a supertall office building currently under construction in Manhattan's West Side. Early construction work will focus on building a platform that will cover much of the Eastern Rail Yard, on which much of Phase 1 will sit upon. The platform will be rested on caissons, which will be drilled underground. On December 12, 2013, it was announced that Tutor Perini Building Corp. was awarded a $510 million contract to build the platform.〔D'Amico, Esther; Worrell, Carolina (December 19, 2013).
